Gandalfs Fight With The Balrog and His Time of Death

Gandalf, fought the balrog on the bridge of Khazad-dûm, where he and the balrog fell. Gandalf broke the bridge which made the balrog fall, but the balrog whipped Gandalf and "Durins Bane" as the balrog was known fell with Gandalf into the abyss. Mid fall Gandalf caught up with Glamdring, his sword and got into a dive position forcing himself downwards. He caught up with the balrog and started to fight it. The balrog and Gandalf fought the way down and Gandalf got burnt. Then they landed in a underground lake which Gandalf later said was as cold as the tide of death and nearly froze his heart. There they fought until the balrog fled into the dark tunnels and Gandalf begun to pursue. The balrog led Gandalf to the spiralling endless stair, which Gandalf pursued the creature up until they came to Durin's Tower at the peak of the mountain Zirakzigil, where they fought until Gandalf threw down his enemy onto the side of the mountain breaking it partially and killing the balrog. Gandalf then says that darkness took him, meaning he died. But since he was not human he was sent back until he had complete his duties of helping destroy Sauron. Gandalf was then found by the eagle lord and taken to Lothlorien and nursed back to health. Then in Fangorn Forest Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn found him as Gandalf the White and thus the journey continued.
